How to Prep Your Skin Before Your Wedding Day

Beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. If you're getting married in the Sudbury area and want a radiant, long-lasting bridal look, your skin prep matters just as much as the products.

Here are a few quick tips I give all my brides:

  1. Hydrate: Drink plenty of water starting 2–3 weeks before the wedding to plump and refresh your skin from the inside out.

  2. Exfoliate: Use a gentle exfoliant 1–2 times per week to remove dead skin and promote a smoother makeup base.

  3. Facials: Schedule your final professional facial no later than 7–10 days before the big day to avoid any last-minute irritation.

  4. Avoid new products: Don’t switch up your skincare too close to the wedding—stick with what your skin knows and loves.

  5. Try dermaplaning: For the smoothest, most flawless makeup application, I highly recommend dermaplaning. This gentle exfoliation removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz, leaving your skin glowing and photo-ready. If you’ve never done it before, try it 2 months before your wedding (or trial) to test your skin’s response, then plan a follow-up 5–7 days before the big day.

As part of my bridal packages, I offer personalized skin prep guidance and product recommendations tailored to your skin type. My skin-first approach ensures your makeup not only looks flawless—but feels weightless and lasts all night.

Want skin that glows all the way to your last dance? Let’s plan your wedding beauty journey together.
